Our Philosophy
At TailWag Grooming and Care, we believe grooming is about more than appearance. Every breed was developed for a purpose, and a dog's coat often plays an important role in that purpose.
Before making grooming decisions, we ask four important questions:

What was this breed originally bred to do?

What job does the coat perform?

What grooming practice would damage that coat?

What grooming practice would preserve it?
These questions guide every grooming appointment.
A double coat is not the same as a curly coat. A working retriever coat is not the same as a terrier coat. Every coat type deserves to be understood and cared for according to its unique characteristics.
Our goal is to help dogs look their best while preserving coat health, comfort, and function whenever possible. We believe in educating owners, recommending appropriate coat care, and treating every dog with patience, respect, and individual attention.
